  • me:

    I just did not have the mental or emotional capacity to be a human.

  • L:

    Being a human is overrated. Let's be fairies.

  • me:

    This is why we're bffz. You understand my soul.

  • L:

    Well duh!!! LOVES!

  • me:

    LOVES. Fairies forever.

// Found an old journal.//

Reading entries from right around one year ago is insanely staggering. I didn’t realize how far I’d come. I knew I feel happy now, finally, and I knew I feel so lucky just to be living, but I didn’t realize what a massive difference it was from a year ago, even a bit less than that. It makes me so, so sad to read my thoughts from then, to remember those feelings and how miserable & destructive & lost I was. But I think sometimes it’s good to have that reminder. To remember that things weren’t always great, that sometimes lessons have to be hard, and that things will always get better.

To anyone that’s struggling right now, to anyone that’s lost, please please please know: it will get better. recovery is possible. you can do this.

Losing weight is not your life’s work, and counting calories is not the call of your soul. You surely are destined for something much greater, much bigger, than shedding 20 pounds or tallying calories. What would happen if, instead of worrying about what you had for breakfast, you focused instead on becoming exquisitely comfortable with who you are as a person? Instead of scrutinizing yourself in the mirror, looking for every bump and bulge, you turned your gaze inward?
